    Online Registration for Fall 2019-20

    Dear Families,

We hope that your summer is off to a great start, and you are finding ways to keep cool in the heat!  As we close up the school office for the summer, we would like to let you know of a few upcoming dates relating to the 2019-20 school year:

We encourage families to log on to the Aeries Family Portal and become familiar with the tool.  In addition to using this for registration when the window opens later this summer, you can also view your child’s attendance, grades, or medical information, to name a few.  Use this link for more information and instructions for registration.

    • Per the AUSD District Office, the registration window will open at the end of July.  Registration is required for all students, and is an opportunity for families to review their student’s information including medications, address change, emergency information, authorizations, etc. and update information as needed.

State Testing:  CAASPP test scores for students having completed grades 3-5 are being updated daily, and will be available for parents to view.

Here are a few important dates relating to the start of school in August:

    • Monday, August 19 - First Day of School
    • August 19-23 – Early dismissal days:Kindergarten @ 11:40, Gr. 1-5 @ 1:50pm
    • August 26-September 6 – Kindergarten early dismissal days @ 11:40am
    • Thursday, August 29 – Back to School Night

Lastly, over the week of August 5th, keep an eye out for another email with updated information about the new school year.  Have an awesome summer and stay cool out there!

    the 12 tools
Our teachers and staff have been trained in a social emotional curriculum called Toolbox.  All of our students are learning about the 12 tools that can be used throughout the day and out in the world.  Ask your child about the tools - they can teach you the breathing tool!

More information can be found here: Toolbox Parent Handout

In addition Heart-Mind Mindfulness teachers visited all Love classrooms for a 16-session mindfulness program that taught them how to pay attention, improve concentration, resolve conflicts, and develop empathy.  A perfect companion to our Toolbox Curriculum.
