The Haight Renaming Committee invites you to write essays/letters sharing your thoughts. Letters should be directed to the AUSD Board of Education. The contest is open to all AUSD students. Toolbox Learning at School and at Home

Haight teachers and staff have been trained in a social emotional curriculum called Toolbox.  All of our students are learning about the 12 tools that can be used throughout the day and out in the world.  Ask your child about the tools - they can teach you the breathing tool!

More information can be found here: Toolbox Parent Handout

In addition Heart-Mind Mindfulness teachers visited all Haight classrooms for a 16-session mindfulness program that taught them how to pay attention, improve concentration, resolve conflicts, and develop empathy.  A perfect companion to our Toolbox Curriculum.

AUSD School Safety Procedures

Haight Elementary follows Alameda Unified School District Student Safety Emergency Procedures. You can read about them here. We practice drills on a monthly basis. If you would like further information, please contact staff at 510-748-4005.

Our School Accountability Report Card now available online

School Accountability Report Cards (SARCs) are now available on-line at https://www.doc-tracking.com/screenshots/Serve/4550/.  This link can be reached through the ‘schools’ drop-down from any page within the AUSD web site.  Hard copies of SARCs are available upon request at each school’s office.

Parent Information and Help - What is Eureka Math and how can I help my child?

Haight Families!  Do you have questions about our new math program, Eureka?  Want to know more about how to support your child with math the "Eureka Way"??

Alameda Unified is using a new math curriculum called "Eureka Math".  It teaches students K-5 how to understand math at a deeper level and teaches them alternate ways to solve problems. It  looks very different than the way most of us learned math.

There are resources to help families understand Eureka math and learn how to help their child.

Please click on this link to find examples of Eureka homework for grades K-5 for parents.

Please click on this link to see videos of each Eureka lesson for grades K-5.
